Thank you to all the Medavie HealthEd paramedic students that volunteered at this years Winterfesthiver. Because of your dedication and support, several patients were able to receive first aid treatment on-site. Your participation in these events shows your commitment to this profession and to the communities you serve.

Students Visit EHS LifeFlight Base

Medavie HealthEd’s paramedic students got the opportunity to spend the day at the EHS LifeFlight base located at the Stanfield International Airport, NS. They had the opportunity to meet the crews, look at the rotary and fixed wing aircrafts, and take the air transport safety course where they learn how to locate a safe landing area and assist in the safe landing of the rotary wing.

Paramedic Students Volunteer at Light The Night Event

The paramedic students from Medavie HealthEd volunteered on Saturday, October 24th with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to provide medical coverage for the Light the Night event.

With more than 110,000 Canadians affected by blood cancer, supporters came out and held illuminated lanterns to show their support. This event has been a huge success in bringing light to the dark world of cancer.

We are so proud of the accomplishment that our graduates got recognized for today. Their hard work and dedication has not gone unnoticed and their level of professionalism will go a long way in their careers.
